Local Business Owner CEO Joseph L. Moore Named to NSBA Leadership Council
Atlanta, Georgia — Joseph L. Moore, CEO of JLM Risk Management, was recently named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council. NSBA is the nation’s oldest small-business advocacy organization, and operates on a staunchly nonpartisan basis. Mr. Moore, a recognized leader in the small-business community, joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Moore is a distinguished graduate of Morehouse College, Class of 1984. With a strong foundation in the world of insurance and finance, he embarked on a remarkable journey that led him to a successful career at one of the world’s largest international insurance brokerages. Recognizing an unmet need during the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games, he took the bold step of founding JLM Risk Management, a visionary insurance brokerage firm that provided essential coverage to the event’s vendors.
Mr. Moore joined the NSBA Leadership Council as part of his efforts to tackle the many critical issues facing small business, including tax reform, regulatory restraint, health care costs, and how the Affordable Care Act will impact small business. The NSBA Leadership Council is focused on providing valuable networking between small-business advocates from across the country, while ensuring small business has a seat at the table as Congress and regulators take up key small-business proposals.
